Last semester I wrote a paper for my sexual orientation and the law class entitled, What Do You Mean You're Not Interested in Sex?: American Life and Law from an Asexual Perspective. Based on the interest of folks when I talked about it, and the severe lack of freely accessible materials available, I chose to publish the essay myself via Smashwords.

For those who are interested here is a brief description of the essay: An academic and personal exploration of asexuality and the asexual spectrum, this essay focuses on the complexities of human sexuality and sexual orientation and takes a look at how asexuality fits within the broad spectrum of human experience. An interdisciplinary work, the author weaves the history of the American LGBTQIA community, social science research, legal analysis, and individuals' stories to provide a powerful argument for the importance of visibility and community.

Please feel free to share the work as you wish. Much love and happy Asexual Awareness Week.

Downloaded, thank you. I wish more people would read this and get it through their heads that asexuality isn't an illness, isn't celibacy, and doesn't mean we're emotionally stunted. I'll definitely recommend it to others in future.
