Oct. 14th, 2011 07:05 pmHi all,
I do plan on doing some research on my own, but I'm hoping that someone can help me save some time. I'm looking for information/ideas/blogs etc about sexual people and asexual people in relationships. Not for me, for a friend (honest! :P).
I know I've read some things, but haven't noted it as I'm aromantic and introverted and so the compromises of relationships aren't overly relevant.

Date: 2011-10-15 04:02 am (UTC)I think when I've seen people talking about ace/sexual relationships it's mostly been around the issue of consent, and the definition of "compromise" and whether to use that word at all. Are you looking for things like that, rather than personal accounts? I could root around in my blogroll (and when Tumblr comes back up) to see if I can find any of those posts.

Date: 2011-10-15 11:17 am (UTC)The general situation is a sexual person is looking for info to get their head around their how to handle what was initially a sexual relationship, but needs to change due to newly awakened asexual partner.
Personal accounts are good, so are discussions of compromise that emphasize actual compromise (as opposed to the 'the sexual person's needs are paramount, and the ace ought to give the maximum amount of sex possible' type compromises that I see a lot, but mostly from sexual sources). I don't think they quite need the debates on the theoretical 'can an ace truly consent if they never want it' side. But toss me anything, more info never hurt a person :)
